Create My Child's PageAbout this coloring page
Jesus stands on a hillside holding a small basket with five loaves and two fish. Around Him, the hillside is covered with people sitting in groups on the grass — men, women, and children as far as the eye can see. A few disciples stand nearby, distributing food to the crowd. The sky is clear and bright, and the scene feels like an enormous outdoor gathering. In the foreground, a young boy watches as Jesus holds the basket, which appears to be the same one the boy brought. The crowd's size, the individual faces in the groups, and the food details give kids a page that rewards patient, careful coloring.
Suggested Scripture: John 6:11 (NIV) — Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
The page is designed as a printable Christian coloring activity that can support a short Bible conversation, a family devotional moment, or a calm classroom activity.

Create a personalized Jesus coloring pageTeaching ideas for parents and teachers
- Before coloring, ask kids to count how many people they can see on the page. Then remind them the real crowd was five thousand men, plus women and children.
- For ages 5–7: keep it simple. A boy had five pieces of bread and two fish. Jesus took them, said thank you to God, and fed everyone. Never think what you have is too small.
- For Sunday school: focus on the boy. He could have kept his lunch. He gave it instead. Ask, "What's one small thing you have that God could multiply if you gave it?"
- For family devotion: read John 6:1–14. Ask, "What's one resource our family has — time, money, skills — that we could offer to God and trust Him to multiply?"
Print and activity tips
- Color the crowd in varied skin tones and clothing colors — this was a diverse group.
- Use warm greens for the grass where the crowd sits; it should feel like a pleasant afternoon.
- Color the bread in warm golden browns and the fish in silvery grays; keep the basket simple.
Discussion questions
- The boy gave his lunch to a stranger (Jesus). Would you have done the same?
- Jesus gave thanks before the miracle happened. What does it mean to thank God before you see the result?
- There were twelve baskets of leftovers. Why do you think God always provides more than enough?
- Have you ever seen something small become something much bigger than expected?
- What's one thing you have right now that you could offer to God?
